while(!brain.empty()){ readme.fill(brain.output()); } I've filled the readme a bit, and did some little changes to the VM (not uploaded so far). Also I think I figured out a quite performant way of updating the VM, so we should not have to bother about number of cycles. As I'm not good at writing I think I simply append the latest README.txt (which will be placed in the tarball and on the Desktop?) - this is probably more performant than packing it in the tarball and let you download that one ;-) -------------- next part -------------- An embedded and charset-unspecified text was scrubbed... Name: README.txt URL: <http://www.hepforge.org/lists-archive/rivet/attachments/20110809/c3fd8998/attachment.txt> -------------- next part -------------- Take your chance and correct me/fill some more in. Otherwise this file will make it in the tarball! Cheers, Daniel PS: Should we create some fancy wallpaper with (really) basic instructions and funny arrows where to click and so on...? ;-) Am 09.08.2011 um 16:46 schrieb Andy Buckley: > Great :) Torbjorn also made the good point that the README needs to contain some very explicit step by step installation instructions for use with VirtualBox. > > I think the issue of keyboard layout setting should also be mentioned in the README -- the VM's next major outing will be at an MC school in Japan ;) IMO we should also name the next VM image something like MCnetVM-1.1 -- the usage interest is wider than Rivet and Professor since it contains several "new" generator codes, and we need to make it obvious from the downloads list that it is a VM! Otherwise we'll get people thinking that it is an 800MB Rivet+Professor tarball! > > Cheers, > Andy > > > On 09/08/11 14:56, Daniel Weyh wrote: >> It is, acutally - but it's possible I screwed the launch bar (mine was gone, now I looked after it...
