[Rivet] Multiple HepMC weights support in RIVETChris Pollard cpollard at cern.chThu Oct 5 14:08:01 BST 2017
Hi Simone, Sorry for the late response. Chris or David should respond about the multiweight branch, which > should (soon?) be available for beta testing. > Yes: I'd expect a beta in the next two weeks. Stay tuned. On specifying a particular weight to use, we've put it off for so long > in the belief that true multiweight was just around the corner... but > it seems to me to anyway be a useful thing to be able to specify (or > to regexp match on weight names...), when you don't want to dump out > the whole lot. I could add this for the upcoming v2.6.0: thoughts on > how best to do it for future compatibility, Dave/Chris? I think that's a nice idea, but I'm not sure the best way to achieve this in 3.0. It would involve masking the weight vector, which is certainly possible, but maybe not a super high priority. The plotting scripts can already remove certain weights if you want them to, but that won't prevent the many weight vectors from being written in the first place.
