sadly, the only solution is to not use CERN email addresses. Their spam 
filter insists on bouncing spam back to the list rather than silently 
ignoring it. We could set up something on the Hepforge side to catch 
them before Mailman sees the messages, but a more likely route is to 
upgrade to Mailman 3 over the summer.
