I wanted to run a quick test over MC sample, but I was not able to 
compile it with errors complaining that 'binIndex' and 'sortByPt' are 
not declared.
I tried to use Rivet 2.1.0, so it's not clear to me whether these will 
be new functions available only in new Rivet release 2.1.1. or there is 
some typo.

Anyway, I looked at the code, and it seems to me fine (also confirmed by 
the original author) assuming the above functions work as expected.
