 If it uses a cartomizer, probably the wicking material is burning. Meaning it should have been refilled sooner, as soon as you get dry hits or notice less taste or vapor top it off with more liquid or switch cartridges. If it still tastes terrible after refilling and waiting for the liquid to wick down, possibly a bad atomizer that's burning too hot, less likely the resistance of the coil is too low, or even the wicking material is stuffed into the cartridge poorly.If it uses a clearomizer, same thing, wick is burning. Could be from not giving it some time after refilling to let the wick soak up liquid, or too much wick material which doesn't let enough liquid reach the atomizer coil. Basically if for any reason the coil isn't in contact with liquid it's gonna burn the wick instead of vaporize the juice.Not good to inhale burnt wicking material, but hey, it's probably not as toxic as cigarettes, and you didn't inhale it all day for years, so I wouldn't worry. Most wicks are made from cotton or silica. If you have something that's rebuildable like a clearomizer then likely you can dry burn it and rewick it if necessary. If it's a cartridge, those are cheap enough to just trash.Did you rinse the tank between flavors? If not, might be old char in the juice, when you change coils also rinse your tanks so it'll be all clean for the new juice. After several tankfuls I usually can see particulates in my juice, especially in dark juices that crud up the coil quickly.If not, is it a harsher flavor or higher nicotine level? More nic burns the throat more, while some flavors need lower voltages to taste right, though 3.8 should be low enough for most things on a standard ohm coil. If you switched to low ohm coils that may be it, just more overall wattage than you're used to. Only other thing I can think of is a change in juice formula, more PG than you are used to would taste harsher and less sweet than a juice high in VG.
