[Rivet] My rivet installation: HELP!Francesco Tramontano Francesco.Tramontano at cern.chWed Feb 8 10:48:26 GMT 2012
Hi Andy, I've just realized that I was not using the developer version of Python, I only had some modules, so the installation script was of course not able to precisely find the reason of the failure. This morning I installed the whole Python-dev package and everything seems to work fine. Thanks for your attention. Can you take a look in the config.log file and see if there is a more explicit hint to what is going wrong? If you can't work it out, please send us the file and we'll try to help. > > Cheers, > Andy > > > On 03/02/12 10:30, Francesco Tramontano wrote: >> Dear authors, >> I'm having problems with the installation >> (ubuntu 10.04.3,python2.6,boost1.41,gsl-1.13) >> I get the following error message: >> >> checking if /usr/bin/swig is compatible with the g++ compiler... no >> configure: error: Can't build Python extension since /usr/bin/swig is >> not compatible with g++.
