[Rivet] Rivet 1.5.1?Hannes Jung hannes.jung at cern.chThu May 5 21:17:24 BST 2011
Dear Andy, Hendrik, et al concerning new analyzes, I guess one could also include the CMS energy flow and perhaps also the fwd jets and fwd-central jets. They are ready as preliminary (as shown at DIS) and papers will come soon. Albert Knutsson is the contact for this.... especially the Eflow could be of interest for tuning of the UE. cheers hannes On 05.05.2011, at 13:53, Andy Buckley wrote: On 05/05/11 12:41, Hendrik Hoeth wrote: Hi guys and gal, our last release was on 9 March, and much has happened since. Maybe not in terms of new shiny features, but in terms of bug fixes and small improvements. Holger fixed the DIS beam compatibility bug, we had some plotting improvements (like the "I'll just plot every aida file I find, not matter whether you like it or not"-bug in compare-histos), some code cleanup, fixed labels, ... What do you think about a bugfix release 1.5.1? I think trunk is in a better state now than two months ago, and it's worth it. Agreed! Also, Leif fixed the shared_ptr segfault bug. I have a couple of extra fixes to put in, regarding the long-standing proper clean-up of some singletons that couldn't be done until Leif fixed that shared_ptr thing. Are there any analyses to go in? The ATLAS track jet fragmentation study is nearly ready, I think, so I am tempted to wait for that. Any other experiments? There was a nice-looking CMS jet structure analysis shown at SM at LHC which I would love to have, if we can get anyone to implement it. Can you follow that up as "CMS contact", Hendrik? I've had no time to work on YODA development in the last couple of months -- too much ATLAS urgency. I might book a train to Durham for a couple of days this month, if that's ok, or perhaps several of us will be at Les Houches and could spare a couple of days to do Rivet/YODA work?
