Hi everyone, Rivet itself does not maintain particle data centrally. The particle table is a property of this specific LHCB analysis, see 'fillMap()' and 'stablePDGIds'. The decision was made to encode exactly the data that was used by LHCB in their experimental analysis instead of linking to a time-varying library, so I would be skeptical about modifying this table at all. Any unknowns should probably be ignored. >> herwig++ 2.5.2 >> >> Rivet.Analysis.LHCB_2010_S8758301: ERROR Could not determine lifetime >> for particle with PID 9020221 > > Maybe David can confirm for Herwig++, but in Sherpa this would be: > 9020221 eta(1405) mass=1.4098GeV width=0.0511GeV Agreed: setup eta(1405) 9020221 eta(1405) 1.4098 0.0511 0.38325 0 0 0 1 0 >> Rivet.Analysis.LHCB_2010_S8758301: ERROR Could not determine lifetime >> for particle with PID 990 That is a reggeon, but what are you running that they show up? They only appear if you're running Pavel's diffraction code explicitly. >> Rivet.Analysis.LHCB_2010_S8758301: ERROR Could not determine lifetime >> for particle with PID 13312 > > Maybe David can confirm for Herwig++, but in Sherpa this would be: > 13312 Xi(1690)- mass=1.696GeV width=0.010GeV Yes, same here: setup Xi(1690)- 13312 Xi(1690)- 1.69 0.01 0.085 0 -3 0 2 0 David
