thanks for forwarding this email, it does indeed seem like it never 
arrived at the list (at least AndyB, Hendrik and I didn't get it).

I have just committed this into the Rivet repository at
http://projects.hepforge.org/rivet/trac/changeset/3319
There were a few smaller modifications that I made to use functions 
available in Rivet or make it a bit easier to read. I have also removed 
the intermediate histograms from the final output (you want the 
histogramFactory().destroy(hist) method for that). All of these changes 
were re-validated by running your original code and my modified code 
over the same events and finding identical output, except for the 
removed intermediate histograms of course.

Thanks for providing this nice analysis as Rivet module so quickly, even 
though it now has taken a while to actually get to us.
