Hi,

I wasn't yet subscribed, so sorry if I'm rehashing an old point that 
you've already gone over:

If you really want to enforce this, why not save the generator histos as 
raw (weighted) counts, including (in the same file) the total N and the 
generator cross-section. Then it's very clear right away that 
post-processing is needed for whatever desired outcome.

Pre-selecting one of the possible normalization choices (1) will never 
lead to agreement on what the "natural" presentation form is.

(1) On top of that, making a different choice for each analysis is even 
more confusing.
