The only difference the accelerator makes is the range in which you would look at observables and maybe some cuts, all basically related to E_cms. So to use it for different accelerators, we would probably need the information about E_cms. Didn't we talk about wanting to move the beam-info extraction to before init anyway such that we could book histograms based on that information? Maybe this here is another good motivation for it. Do you remember, and do you think it's something we want (i.e. that is feasible) for this release already? I have to admit that I haven't looked at it in detail yet.
