Hi everyone,

Rivet and AGILe versions 1.1.0 have been released today, and are
available to download and use from the HepForge sites:

http://projects.hepforge.org/rivet
and
http://projects.hepforge.org/agile

Since the joint 1.0.0 release in February 2008, many bugs have been
fixed and improvements made, and Rivet/AGILe 1.1.0 is now the
recommended setup for all users.

For new users, the easiest way to get started with Rivet is to use the
"bootstrap script":
http://svn.hepforge.org/rivet/bootstrap/rivet-bootstrap

Rivet's most major change is an improvement in the handling of
projection objects, which makes writing analysis classes simpler and
more flexible while also eliminating some tricky problems of memory
management that could previously cause problems. There have also been
many improvements to existing projections and analyses, and the addition
of many new ones.

AGILe has been improved in numerous ways, but notably now assumes that
generator libraries will be found in a directory structure with the same
structure as the CERN Genser area. AGILe provides a "mkGenserArea"
script, to allow users to bootstrap a local equivalent of Genser's
directory tree.

Best wishes, and please contact us for help if you require it!
