Changed my mind again about runInfo(). I think it and description() should return a single string of valid restructuredText --- http://docutils.sourceforge.net/rst.html --- with list markup for runInfo() as needed. reST provides mechanisms for token substitution and flexible rendering that we can make use of in our documentation processing, as well as a Python API and compatibility with the Sphinx tool that produces the nice new docs.python.org documentation.
