Dear Rivet users,

We are happy to announce the release of Rivet 2.4.2.

This is a minor release which adds 5 new LHC analyses, adds various
robustness and logistical improvements, and fixes bugs in analyses and
in PID code interpretation.

The last of these was introduced only in 2.4.1 and could lead to small
errors in jet tagging and unstable particle decay studies: for this
reason we recommend immediate upgrade of any Rivet 2.4.1 installations
to 2.4.2. It is available, as always, for manual or script-assisted
build from https://rivet.hepforge.org/

Please note that in most cases Rivet 2.4.2 should be built against YODA
1.5.9. The YODA 1.6.x series requires C++11 and is primarily intended
for the approaching Rivet 2.5.x releases. However, if you are already
building Rivet with a -std=c++11 compiler flag (or similar) then there
should be no problem with using the latest YODA.

Best wishes,
The Rivet team
