Hi everyone,

I'm very pleased to announce the release of Rivet 1.7.0. As usual this
release contains a mix of bug-fixes, improvements, and new analyses and
is recommended for immediate production use.

Rivet 1.7.0 is available for download in the usual place, at
http://www.hepforge.org/downloads/rivet

The major bugfix in this release is in the MissingMomentum projection,
where the vector ET calculation (despite looking superfically correct)
was found to be wildly discrepant. The CDF 2004 dijet azimuthal
decorrelation analysis is the only one to have been affected by this
change, and the primary effect should be on the required statistics.

Analysis authors should be aware that there are several very small code
interface changes in this release: the bump of the middle version number
(from 1.6.0, released in August) reflects this break in strict backward
compatibility. Upgrading affected private analysis code to the new
interface should be straightforward: please let us know if you have any
trouble.

More information can be found in the ChangeLog:

Best wishes,
Andy (for the Rivet team)
