Dear LHAPDF users,

We're very happy to announce the release of LHAPDF 6.0.3, the latest
minor update of the new LHAPDF6 library. You can get it, as ever, from
  http://www.hepforge.org/downloads/lhapdf
and PDF set data files can be downloaded (as tarballs to be expanded)
from http://www.hepforge.org/archive/lhapdf/pdfsets/6.0/

FEATURES
--------
This release provides a fix for POWHEG BOX compatibility, and a new
ForcePositive metadata flag which can be used by positive (and positive
definite) PDFs to ensure that their positivity isn't broken by
interpolation algorithm overshoots.

DATA FILE UPDATES
-----------------
While not tied to any particular release of LHAPDF6, we're also pleased
to announce updates to the PDF data files, including use of
ForcePositive with all CTEQ PDFs and the NNPDF "MC" PDFs. More metadata
has also been added to the "unvalidated" PDF collection, and those with
fixed flavour numbers no longer contain pointless zero-value PDFs for
the inactive quark flavours. Most of the NNPDF 2.3 PDFs have now been
officially marked as "validated", and we expect the FFN, MC and QED sets
to follow shortly. Finally, an unvalidated copy of the MRST2004QED set,
the original PDF set with a photon flavour content, is now available for
testing.

Please try out this version of LHAPDF6 and let us know your experiences,
either good or bad! We are particularly interested to get the remainder
of the CTEQ and MSTW/MRST sets validated, as well as the ABM11 and
HERAPDF sets. It would be great to get the new NNPDF QED and ATLAS PDFs
available for LHAPDF6 as well!

As a reminder, there will be no more releases in the LHAPDF5 series --
last weeks' 4.9.1 release was a exception made to fix an issue with our
bundling of the NNPDF QED sets, and to include the ATLAS PDFs. From now
on it's all version 6, so please plan your migration and start testing
as soon as possible. You'll find full documentation and usage examples
at http://lhapdf.hepforge.org/lhapdf6/

Best wishes,
The LHAPDF6 Team
